We are excited to announce that this July 2026, Physicians Regional Healthcare System will welcome the start of 13 new Internal Medicine residents! Our total program size will be complete at 39 residents. They will predominantly be working at our Pine Ridge location, except for their continuity clinic. This will be located across the street from our Collier Blvd hospital at 8360 Sierra Meadows Blvd.
Our residents will be rotating through all the subspecialties of Internal Medicine. We will have a POCUS curriculum. Each resident will have access to their own probe. They will be required to participate in one quality improvement project, research and case presentations. There will be a board review program and a simulation laboratory. We will also have structured mentorship and coaching activities.
We are actively recruiting patients to be part of their practice. Their clinic go live date is July 6, 2026.
Recruitment is underway for more teaching physicians for all their medical subspecialties and even most surgical specialties, for their elective rotations.
