The 16th Annual Women’s Health Forum, a free health education event, is set to take place on Saturday, April 5th, hosted by Collier County Medical Society (CCMS) and the Foundation of CCMS. This event is part of their ongoing initiative to establish connections between residents, visitors, and high-quality healthcare in Southwest Florida.
The forum, with the theme “Take Control of Your Health and Wellness” will take place at Naples United Church of Christ, McSpadden Hall from 8:30am-12:45pm, and will feature breakout sessions with educational presentations on a wide spectrum of women’s health topics from 24 local physicians, an exhibit hall with vendors that offer services for women, and light refreshments. The Forum regularly draws approximately 300 attendees.
“Our goal with the Women’s Health Forum is to empower women with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their health,” remarked Dr. Theresa Vensel, event chair. “Women’s health needs are diverse and ever-changing, and the Forum provides a friendly learning environment to help them navigate their wellness journey.”
Breakout session topics include: Aesthetics, Breast Health, Cardiology, Fitness & Nutrition, Gastroenterology, Hearing, Memory, Menopause, Orthopedics, Sleep, Stress, Urology, Vascular Health, Vision, and more. Each presentation has time for interactive Q&A sessions with the physician speakers to help attendees gain a deeper insight into the subjects presented.
The full agenda and registration are available online, or call 239-435-7727. A suggested donation of $10 at the door will benefit the Foundation of CCMS, a charitable organization that provides medical scholarships and funding to local healthcare programs in need.
