“One of our Foundation’s major goals is to help aspiring medical professionals in our community reach their potential and become compassionate, giving physicians,” said Dr. Rolando Rivera, Foundation Chair. “Joseph is following Dr. Lascheid’s example of community service, and we are honored for the privilege of awarding him this scholarship.”
Joseph, whose parents originally hail from Jamaica, is from Lake Mary, Florida, and is a former medical assistant. He received his undergraduate and master’s degrees at FSU.
