The 17th Annual Women’s Health Forum, a free health education event, is set to take place on Saturday, April 11, hosted by Collier County Medical Society (CCMS) and the Foundation of CCMS. This event is part of their ongoing initiative to establish connections between residents, visitors, and high-quality healthcare in Southwest Florida.
The forum, with the theme “Stronger Tomorrow: Women’s Health & Vitality” will take place at Naples United Church of Christ, McSpadden Hall from 8:30am-12:45pm. The program will feature breakout sessions led by 26 local physicians covering a wide spectrum of women’s health topics, an exhibit hall with vendors offering health and wellness products and services, and light refreshments. The Forum regularly draws approximately 300 attendees each year. The title sponsor this year is Apex Brain & Spine.
“The Women’s Health Forum empowers women by providing a glimpse into some of today’s most important health topics in a format that is clear, practical and accessible,” said Dr. Theresa Vensel, event chair. “With medical self-advocacy becoming the norm, it is more important than ever for patients to have the knowledge and resources they need to take an active role in their healthcare decisions.”
Breakout session topics include: Cancer Risk Reduction, Facial Rejuvenation, Fitness & Nutrition, GI & Colon Health, Healthy Aging, Heart Health, Joint Replacement, Leg Veins, Menopausal Health, Mental Wellness, Pain Management, Urology, and more. Each presentation includes time for interactive Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to speak directly with physician speakers and gain deeper insight into the subjects presented.
The full agenda and registration are available online or call 239-435-7727. A suggested donation of $10 at the door will benefit the Foundation of CCMS, a charitable organization that provides medical scholarships and funding to local healthcare programs in need. Volunteer and support opportunities are also available; visit ccmsonline.org/support, email email, or call 239-435-7727 for more information.
The Women’s Health Forum is made possible with the support of sponsors Apex Brain & Spine, Hobdari Family Health, Inspire Oncology, Life in Naples, Magnolia Breast Center, McKenney Home Care, Precision Healthcare Specialists, and Vascular Center of Naples.
